Gautam Adani became the king of real estate
Real Estate News: Gautam Adani's name is consistently included in the list of India's top industrialists. He has numerous businesses that consistently place him in the top 10 on this list. But now he has also become a king in the real estate world. Gautam Adani recently topped the list of the richest real estate investors, dethroning DLF's reigning king, Rajiv Singh.
Gautam Adani has recently emerged as the king of real estate. A list of 150 individuals from the GROHE-Hurun India Real Estate 2026 has been released. For the first time, Gautam Adani and his family have topped the list of India's wealthiest real estate tycoons.
According to this report, the Adani family's real estate assets have reached approximately ₹90,400 crore. Their wealth has increased by 73% in a single year. The Adani Group has rapidly expanded its assets in residential, commercial, township, and infrastructure projects, contributing to their wealth growth.
DLF's King Dethroned:
Before Adani and his family, DLF's Rajiv Singh and his family had long topped the list. However, the Adani family has now dethroned them and taken over. Rajiv Singh and his family's wealth has dropped to ₹90,200 crore. Due to the market decline, their wealth has declined by 29%, and they have slipped from first to second place on the list.
The list of Indian real estate entrepreneurs in the top 10 is as follows:
- Gautam Adani and family
- Rajeev Singh and family
- Mangal Prabhat Lodha and Family
- Vikas Oberoi and family
- Chandru Raheja and family
- Atul Ruia and family
- Raja Bagmane and family
- Niranjan Hiranandani and family
- Basant Bansal and family
- Vijay Kumar Agarwal and family
The report also highlights the shift in India's real estate sector,
highlighting that not only traditional builders but also large business conglomerates are rapidly expanding their presence in India's real estate sector. The Adani Group's growing share points to this shift. However, DLF remains the country's largest listed real estate company by market value.
