Mumbai: Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader Javed Shaikh's son Rahil Javed Shaikh's troubles are increasing. His rude behaviour with social media influencer Rajshri More has cost him dearly. After the video went viral on social media, he is being criticized everywhere. After the video went viral, the party distanced itself from him and other parties targeted him fiercely. Then the social media influencer filed an FIR.

Then there is the case of Shinde's leader Sanjay Nirupam misbehaving with Marathi social media influencer and actress Rajshri More after a road accident in Andheri West, Mumbai on 7 July 2025. The incident took place at 4:40 am on Veera Desai Road, when Rahil, who was allegedly drunk, committed the crime. It is being claimed that he was half naked at the time of the incident. He hit Rajshri's car several times with his SUV. Rajshri shared the video of this incident on Instagram, in which Rahil is seen abusing and threatening her. He said, "Tell the police, I am Javed Sheikh's son, then see what happens," referring to his father's status as MNS vice-president.

Rajshri filed an FIR against Rahil at Amboli police station for insulting the dignity of women, reckless driving and drunk driving. The police took Rahil into custody and sent him for medical examination and seized his car. The incident created a political storm in Mumbai. Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Nirupam of the Shinde faction criticized MNS by sharing a video on X. He called it the "real face of those who protect Marathi pride". He termed Rahil's behavior as "hooliganism" and demanded action against MNS.

Nitesh Rana surrounded MNS

Maharashtra minister Nitesh Rane also hit out at the MNS, alleging that it would not take action against Rahil because he was engaged in "appeasing jihadis". The MNS, however, distanced itself from Rahil's act, and party leader Avinash Jadhav said they did not support his behaviour and demanded police action. Rajshri said she was scared and was afraid to step out of the house. She also alleged that MNS workers were targeting her due to her recent comments in which she questioned the forced imposition of Marathi language.

Discussion on Marathi vs non-Marathi

The incident comes amid the Marathi-non-Marathi row, when recently MNS workers attacked a non-Marathi shopkeeper. Rajshree clarified that her protest is against hooliganism and not the Marathi community. The police have started investigating the case and statements are being recorded for further action. The incident has raised questions about road safety in Mumbai and misuse of political influence. Rajshree claimed that Rahil's family pleaded with her not to file an FIR, but she demanded justice. The case may remain a topic of discussion in Maharashtra politics for a long time.
