The weather continues to fluctuate across India, and the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a rainfall alert for several states, predicting heavy rain in the coming days.
Weather Updates for Different Regions:
- North India: The mornings and evenings remain chilly across the northern states, though the afternoons bring some warmth due to the sunshine. The IMD has confirmed that cyclonic circulation over Northeast Bangladesh is causing intermittent rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, which is expected to continue until February 15. Additionally, light snowfall is predicted. West Bengal and Sikkim will experience cloudy skies and rain from February 11 to 13, accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning. The Northeast states, including Assam, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura, will see light rain, with a drop in temperatures due to cold winds.
- Delhi: On Sunday, Delhi enjoyed sunshine, but the city's air quality deteriorated to the "poor" category due to reduced wind speeds. The maximum temperature reached 27.4°C, which is 4°C higher than the seasonal average. Despite the warmth during the day, the minimum temperature dropped to 7.8°C, 2°C below the normal. The IMD forecasted that the sunny and relatively warm weather will persist until Tuesday, with temperatures possibly hitting 28°C. By end-February, temperatures could rise further to 30°C.
Rajasthan Weather Update:
In Rajasthan, the minimum and maximum temperatures have increased by 2-3°C in many areas. The IMD predicts dry conditions and further temperature rises in the coming days. Cities such as Fatehpur, Nagaur, Bikaner, Barmer, Udaipur, Sikar, and Alwar saw maximum temperatures rise by 3-4°C in the past 24 hours. Barmer recorded the highest temperature at 32°C on Saturday, while Dausa reported the lowest minimum temperature at 5.4°C. Other places like Karauli (5.6°C) and Sangaria (6.3°C) also recorded cooler temperatures at night.
Telangana Weather Alert:
The IMD has also warned of mist and fog in the mornings over the next three days in Telangana. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to rise by 2-3°C compared to the usual temperatures. The lowest minimum temperature recorded on the night of Saturday to Sunday was 15.7°C in Adilabad. Dry conditions are expected to continue in Telangana for the next week.
Stay prepared for fluctuating weather conditions, especially with heavy rain, thunderstorms, and a potential temperature rise across many states.
