Pakistan has deployed fighter jets to Saudi Arabia ahead of the US-Iran talks in Islamabad. The Saudi Ministry of Defense announced that the Pakistani fighter jets had arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base.

The Saudi Ministry of Defense stated that a military contingent from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has arrived at King Abdulaziz Air Base in the eastern region, under the Joint Strategic Defense Agreement signed between the two friendly countries. The Pakistani contingent includes fighter and support aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force. The purpose is to enhance joint military coordination, raise the level of readiness for coordination between the armed forces of the two countries, and strengthen security and stability in the region and internationally.

Why has Pakistan made this decision?
Regarding this deployment, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have a Joint Strategic Defense Agreement (JSA). This agreement aims to enhance joint coordination between the two countries and strengthen security and stability at the regional and international levels. Pakistan has taken this decision under this agreement. The situation in the Middle East is also a factor. Iran attacked US bases in Saudi Arabia, and Pakistan is acting as a mediator in this conflict.

An Air Force tanker was spotted flying in Saudi airspace on April 9th.
Earlier (April 9th), reports emerged that a Pakistan Air Force Il-78MP tanker, a flying gas station, had been spotted flying in Saudi airspace. However, it had not landed. Photos of the aircraft were also released. It was circling over the eastern region near Bahrain and the Persian Gulf. It remained active in the air. The timing seemed inappropriate, given the heated situation. Many users were calling it an interesting move, but now the Saudi Ministry of Defense has confirmed the deployment of a Pakistani jet and dismissed all claims.
