No Indians Allowed Entry: The club whose doors were once open only for the British, and where it was said that ' Indians are not allowed'. Now the same club has returned with a new identity for the people of Delhi. Coming out of the pages of history, this club is now ready to welcome every person who wants to live heritage, modernity, and luxury together. We are talking about the 100-year-old Roshanara Club, which has now been renovated by the Delhi Development Authority and opened again for the common people.
Roshanara Club , one of the oldest and most historic clubs in Delhi , was once reserved for the British and Indians were not allowed entry. But now it is back in a grand and modern avatar . After almost two years of renovation, the club has been officially opened to the public .
Know about the history...
Established on 15 August 1922, this club was earlier a social and recreational hub for British officers . It was named after Begum Roshanara , daughter of Mughal emperor Shah Jahan . The first meeting of Indian cricket administrators was held in this club .
What has changed at the club ?
- According to the DDA , many changes have been made while preserving the heritage of the club
- Old windows and doors of European design have been replaced

- The old chandeliers and furniture have all been kept as they were but have been given a new look.
