People who sleep too much for a long time are also at risk of heart disease, diabetes and obesity.

 

Irregular sleeping and waking habits, i.e. sleeping and waking up at different times every day, also disturbs the body's natural clock. This can cause hormonal imbalances and affect blood pressure and cholesterol levels. Some studies have also found that people who have an unstable sleep pattern may have an increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
