Harshit Rana made an amazing record on ODI debut, became the first bowler to do so in the history of Team India

India vs England 1st ODI: India's fast bowler Harshit Rana created history with his brilliant bowling in the first ODI against England at the Vidarbha Cricket Association Stadium in Nagpur on Thursday (February 6). Rana took 3 wickets for 53 runs in 7 overs, he took Ben Duckett, Harry Brook and Liam Livingstone.

Harshit has become the first bowler in Indian cricket history to have achieved the feat of taking three or more wickets in the debut innings of all three formats. In his Test debut against Australia in November, he took 3 wickets for 48 runs in the first innings. After this, while making his debut in the T20 International against England in Pune recently, he took 3 wickets for 33 runs.

However, he also made an unwanted record on his debut. Harshit started well and gave 11 runs in his first two overs, including one maiden. Captain Rohit Sharma went to Harshit for the third consecutive over. Philip hit three sixes and two fours against him. Harshit conceded a total of 26 runs, which is the most expensive over bowled by a player on debut in India's ODI history.

Most expensive overs for India in ODIs:

30 - Yuvraj Singh vs Dimitrios Mascarenhas (England), The Oval, 2007

30 - Ishant Sharma vs James Faulkner (Australia), Mohali, 2014

28 - Krunal Pandya vs Ben Stokes (England), Pune, 2021

26 - Harshit Rana vs Phil Salt (England), Nagpur, 2025*

26 - Ravi Shastri vs Mike Gatting (England), Jhalandar, 1981

After this over, Rohit removed him from the attack, but when he returned after Salt was run out, he got a chance to bowl the tenth over again. Harshit dismissed Ben Duckett and Harry Brook in this over.

It is worth noting that in this match, India defeated England by 4 wickets and took a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
