Fast bowler Hasan Ali, who is out of the Pakistan cricket team, is once again in the headlines due to his new statement. Hasan Ali has criticized the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for favoritism in the treatment of players. Ali believes that injured Sam Ayub was given special treatment by the PCB compared to the rest of the players.
Hasan Ali questioned why injured batsman Sam Ayub was sent to London for rehab, while other injured players including himself did not receive such medical care in the past. Expressing his disappointment on the Ultra Edge podcast, Hasan said, "Sam Ayub is injured and he is part of the team. Was I not a member of the team in 2020 as well? If any other player gets injured, will he not be part of the team? Does he play for India? Right now, they are giving him VVIP treatment, but will they do the same next time? No, they will not do that." Ayub suffered a fracture in his right ankle during Pakistan's tour of South Africa and was ruled out of the ICC Champions Trophy. He is currently recovering in London. Hasan also questioned whether the PCB would provide the same special treatment to Ayub if he gets injured again in the future. Despite his criticism, Hasan wished Ayub a speedy recovery and hoped that he would play an important role in Pakistan's success.
Let us tell you that Sam Ayub suffered an ankle injury during the second Test against South Africa in Cape Town. The incident happened while chasing a ball going towards the deep third boundary with Aamir Jamal. Jamal stopped the ball and Ayub stood there as a relay fielder. However, the young player lost his balance during this and twisted his ankle. He was seen in pain holding the lower part of his leg while the team physio rushed to the spot to see him. After prolonged treatment, he had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. Later it was found that he had injured his right ankle. Due to this injury, he was also ruled out of the Champions Trophy.
