Steps to update address in Aadhaar card

Visit the official website of UIDAI

Visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/

Log in with your Aadhaar number

Enter your 12-digit Aadhaar number

Fill the captcha code and click on "Send OTP"

Enter the OTP received on your registered mobile number to log in

Go to the Aadhaar update section

Click on "Aadhaar Update" in the top menu

Then click on "Proceed to update Aadhaar"

Select the update option

Select "Address" from the list of options

Click on "Proceed to update Aadhaar"

Enter your new address

Your current address will appear on the screen

Enter your new address correctly as per your address proof

Upload supporting documents

Upload a valid proof of address (given below) list)

Tick the confirmation checkbox and click on “Next”

Make payment

Pay a non-refundable fee of ₹50 using the available payment options.

You will receive a receipt after successful payment.

Confirmation and processing

You will receive a confirmation message on your registered mobile.

Your Aadhaar address will be updated in 1-3 working days.

Voter ID Card

Driving License

Pensioner Card

Disability Card issued by the Government.

Property tax receipt (not older than 1 year)

Life/Health insurance policy

CGHS/ECHS/ESIC/Mediclaim card

Utility bills (Electricity, Water, Telephone, Broadband – not older than 3 months)

Proof of Identity (POI) (may also be required):

PAN card

Passport

Driving license

Voter ID
