YouTube will now run on every screen! A new feature has arrived, allowing you to do everything while watching videos.

YouTube New Feature: PiP mode lets you turn videos into a small floating window that stays on screen even if you're using another app.

YouTube New Feature: To make watching videos easier, YouTube has decided to expand its popular Picture-in-Picture (PiP) feature to more users worldwide. Previously, this feature was limited to a limited number of users, but it will gradually be available to all users.

Who used to get PiP earlier, and what has changed now?

Previously, the PiP feature was only available to premium users outside the US, while some non-premium users in the US could also take advantage of it. Google has now confirmed that the feature will be rolled out to all users worldwide in the near future. This change means more people will be able to watch videos in a smaller window without having to close the app.

How does the PiP feature work?

In PiP mode, you can turn the video into a small floating window that continues to play on the screen even if you're using another app. As soon as you exit the YouTube app or press the Home button, the video automatically starts playing in the small player. You can move this small video player anywhere on the screen and even place it on top of other apps, making multitasking much easier.

Which users will get which benefit?

With the new update, non-premium users will also be able to use the PiP feature for longer videos (non-music content) on Android and iOS. Premium users will continue to enjoy this feature for both music and non-music videos.

How to turn PiP on or off?

If you want to use the PiP feature, you'll need to enable it in your phone's settings. Android users can enable Picture-in-Picture by going to the YouTube option in Settings > Apps. If you want to disable this feature, you can turn off PiP in the Playback section of the YouTube app's settings.

Experience will be better.

While using PiP mode, you can tap on a small video to view controls, or drag it to the bottom of the screen to close it. This feature is especially useful for those who want to chat, browse, or do other tasks while watching a video. Now, this YouTube update will give users even more freedom, allowing them to enjoy their favorite videos without interruption.
