Tarun Pandey was suffering from a serious illness

Tarun Kumar Pandey, originally from Nawabganj in Gonda district, lived in a house built on Myor Road in Prayagraj. On March 1, he got his daughter married in Ayodhya. Before Holi and just after the daughter's wedding, his wife went to Bangalore to stay with her son. Tarun was suffering from a serious illness. His spinal cord was broken. He had undergone an operation for the same in Delhi. He was still undergoing treatment there. He had returned home from Delhi on Saturday and on Sunday, he committed suicide at home late in the evening.

The inspector expressed his pain in the suicide note

'I am the son of a poor Brahmin family, so I could not tell my pain to anyone because it would have brought great disgrace to our family in the society. I used to tell only my brother. Today, before dying, I want to tell that my wife, sister-in-law and brother-in-law are responsible for my suicide. These people forced me to commit suicide. Therefore, I request that an FIR be lodged against these people and action be taken.'

He expressed his pain in a two page suicide note

Before committing suicide, Tarun Pandey of Varanasi Crime Branch wrote these things in his suicide note. In a two page suicide note, he has expressed his pain and written that on March 1, we got our daughter married in Ayodhya. Before that, the engagement was done in Lucknow. During this, an attempt was made to kill me by burning me by getting my insurance done on a fake address, so that my in-laws can grab the money received from the insurance. He has clearly written that my wife Poonam Pandey, sister-in-law Bindu Shukla and brother-in-law Pradeep Mishra are responsible for my suicide.

In 25 years, brother-in-law and sister-in-law took away all the wealth

Inspector Tapan Pandey has written that whatever wealth I had in the last 25 years of service, my in-laws took it all by luring my wife. According to sources, the inspector has written in the suicide note that many conspiracies were hatched to kill him. He has written that whatever money is found in my name after my death should be deposited in the Chief Minister's Relief Fund and should not be given to any family member. Tarun Pandey, who was an inspector in Varanasi Crime Branch, has expressed all his pain in the suicide note.

He was sending WhatsApp voice messages to his wife before committing suicide

He has written that before Holi his wife left from here taking all the jewellery and money and said that she will never come back. He has also requested for strict legal action against the three. According to sources, the police is also searching his mobile, because before committing suicide he was trying to send a voice recording to someone on WhatsApp. The police have seized his mobile but no case has been registered yet.

After postmortem, the relatives took the dead body to the village

It is noteworthy that after the postmortem of 52-year-old Inspector Tarun Pandey, who committed suicide by shooting himself with a licensed rifle at his residence on Muir Road, the family took the body to his native village Gonda. When the inspector committed suicide, his feet were hanging from the bed and a rifle and a beer bottle were lying nearby. Forensic investigation revealed that the first bullet missed, after which the second bullet passed below the throat and came out from the upper part of the head. The face was badly damaged.
