This is the first time in the history of the NDA in Bihar that the Home Department has gone to the BJP instead of Nitish Kumar. Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has been given the reins of the Home Department. Looking at the entire Bihar cabinet, the BJP appears to be on the front foot.
