Pakistan News: A Pakistani police officer died after being shot in the head while on his way to work. A high-level investigation committee has been formed to determine the true cause of death.

The mysterious death of Islamabad Superintendent of Police (SP) Adeel Akbar has sent shockwaves across Pakistan. A postmortem report indicated he died from a gunshot wound to the head, but there was no evidence to suggest he was shot. Islamabad police say Adeel Akbar died after being shot inside his car while he was driving to his office on Constitution Avenue.
A high-level team has been formed to investigate the death.
This incident has shaken Pakistan's police department, as SP Akbar was a senior and experienced officer. According to Pakistani media reports, the government has formed a high-level team to investigate the suicide angle. The weapon used in the incident has been seized by the police. It is reported that he took the gun from his official gunman and shot himself in the head.
Pakistan's Minister of State for Interior, Talal Chaudhry, stated that a high-level investigation team has been formed under the supervision of the Islamabad Inspector General of Police. He added that initial reports indicate that SP Adeel shot himself inside his vehicle. The investigation committee includes the DIG Headquarters, DIG Islamabad, and DIG Security.
Transferred from Balochistan to Islamabad
According to the Inspector General of Islamabad, Superintendent of Police (SP) Adeel Akbar shot himself inside his vehicle. He said, "The CCTV footage does not show any external attack. It appears everything happened inside the vehicle." Adeel Akbar was recently transferred from Balochistan to Islamabad. His co-workers, driver, and staff present at the time of the incident are also being questioned.
Claims of being an Indian spy on social media
Following Adeel Akbar's death, many social media users began claiming that he was an Indian spy and had assisted New Delhi during Operation Sindoor. However, there has been no official statement from Pakistani authorities regarding these allegations.
A user on Social Media X wrote, "Islamabad Police SP City Adil Akbar was an Indian agent. He shot himself today. His information proved very helpful during Operation Sindoor. Thank you, Adil Bhai, you helped a lot."
Another user claimed that Akbar was pressured by the Pakistani army and government to file false cases against pro-Palestinian protesters.

Another user on social media wrote, "Islamabad Police Superintendent Adeel Akbar shot himself. He has been hospitalized. He was being pressured by the Pakistani army and government to fabricate cases against pro-Palestinian TLP protesters. Is Pakistan now an ally of Israel?"
