A chilling incident took place in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, on the night of Wednesday, when three individuals on a scooter asked a young man his name and then shot him dead. The victim, identified as Gulfam, was shot in the chest and died on the spot. When his friend, Saif Ali, attempted to save him, the attackers turned their guns on him as well, shooting him in the chest. However, Saif survived the attack.
After the murder, a video surfaced in which the attackers made a disturbing statement. In the video, one of the accused, identified as Manoj Chaudhary, said, "If I do not take revenge of 26 by 2600, then I am not the son of Bharat Mata." This cryptic statement has raised questions about the motive behind the killing, with the attackers seemingly justifying their actions as revenge for the 26/11 Mumbai attacks.

According to Saif Ali, the incident occurred around 12:00 AM on Wednesday, as he and Gulfam were closing the restaurant they worked at. The attackers arrived on a scooter, parked in front of the restaurant, and approached Gulfam, asking for his name. As soon as Gulfam responded, they pulled out a gun and shot him in the chest. Saif, who was nearby, rushed to help his friend but was also shot in the chest. Miraculously, he survived but is now recovering from his injuries.
After the attack, the assailants fled the scene, leaving the locals in shock. The authorities were alerted by nearby residents, and Gulfam was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead.
The Statement by the Attackers
In the aftermath, the accused released a video claiming responsibility for the murder, stating that the Kshatriya Gau Raksha Dal took responsibility for the attack and vowed revenge for the 26/11 terror attacks, symbolized by the number "26" and "2600". The attackers implied that their actions were motivated by a desire to avenge the attacks on India, referencing the terror attack in Mumbai in 2008.
Police Investigation
The police have launched an investigation into the incident. They have registered a case and formed four investigation teams to track down the attackers. Preliminary reports indicate that Gulfam did not have any enmity with anyone, suggesting that the murder may have been driven by the attackers' extremist ideology rather than personal vendettas.
Local authorities are questioning witnesses and looking for clues that could lead to the capture of the perpetrators. The police have also expressed concern about the increasingly violent rhetoric associated with this murder.
