Vaibhav Suryavanshi's Warning from Virender Sehwag

Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player to debut in the Indian Premier League (IPL), has gained significant attention after making his debut for Rajasthan Royals at just 14 years and 23 days old. He even hit a six on his very first ball in the IPL. Despite his impressive start, the young cricketer received a cautionary note from India's legendary cricketer, Virender Sehwag.

During an appearance on Cricbuzz, Sehwag shared an important piece of advice with Suryavanshi. Sehwag warned the teenager not to get carried away by early success and fame. He emphasized that success in cricket isn’t about temporary praise or fleeting popularity, stating that many players have gained fame from a few good performances, only to fade away because they became complacent, thinking they had already "made it."

Sehwag used Virat Kohli as an example, highlighting how Kohli, who started playing at the age of 19, has had a consistent career spanning 18 IPL seasons. Sehwag advised Suryavanshi to focus on building a long and successful career, much like Kohli, and not let early accolades lead to overconfidence.
