The Sundarban forest located in West Bengal is known as the largest and most dangerous forest in India. This fort is situated on the delta of the river Ganga. The area of the forest is about 10,000 square kilometers. This forest is famous for the Royal Bengal Tiger, salt water crocodiles are also found here in abundance. It is in the Sundarban delta that rivers like India's most sacred river Ganga, Brahmaputra, Padma, and Meghna meet the sea. Sundarban forest lies in both India and Bangladesh. Gir Forest, Gujarat

This dangerous forest is 43 kilometers north-east of Somnath and 60 kilometers south-east of Junagadh. Khasi mountain forest, Meghalaya
It is known as the third-largest forest in India. It is a rainforest located among the Khasi mountains in the state of Meghalaya, India. Due to Cherrapunji being located in the south, this forest remains completely drenched with rain every day of the year. This forest situated in the Khasi Mountains is situated at an altitude of about 1,978 meters. The forests located in Meghalaya are spread far and wide over a large area. Anyway, Meghalaya is a state of India where more than 75 percent of the total land there is covered with forests. The forest of the Khasi Mountains is spread over about 2,741 square kilometers.

Namdapha Forest, Arunachal Pradesh
Namdapha forests are some of the largest forests in India and are located in Arunachal Pradesh. These forests are spread over an area of 1,985 square kilometers. These forests are located in very cold areas of India. Such animals are found in this evergreen forest which are not found anywhere else in India. Animals like red pandas, red foxes, langurs, and monkeys are especially found in these forests. More than 80% of the total land area of Arunachal Pradesh is covered with forests. Out of which this Namdapha forest is the most beautiful. This forest of the north-eastern state ends at the border of Myanmar in the east and this forest is a very cold region.

Jim Corbett National Park, Uttarakhand
It is considered to be the fifth-largest forest in India. This park was established in 1936 for the endangered tiger. Jim Corbett Located in Nainital, Uttarakhand, spread over an area of 520 square kilometers, these forests are famous for the Bengal Tiger. This forest has an abundance of peepal, mango trees, and sal trees. About 10 percent of its area is green grassland. Jim Corbett National Park is considered to be the oldest national park in India.
