Whenever you go to your home or go somewhere or go somewhere for office or personal work etc. So you must have traveled by Indian train at some point or the other? Actually, a large number of people travel by trains every day. The facilities ranging from general bogie to AC class, comfortable seats, catering facilities and toilet facilities make the journey of the passengers more pleasant. At the same time, you must have heard many times or maybe it happened to you that people's purse or mobile phone has fallen on the railway track? If this happens to you, there is a way you can get it back. Yes, for this you just have to follow a rule of the Railways. So let us know how to recover the purse or mobile phone that has fallen on the track. You can know about this in the next slides...
First of all avoid making this mistake
It is generally seen that whenever people's things fall on the track, they pull the chain to stop the train. Note that this should not be done at all. Otherwise you may be fined or jailed or both.
What to do then?
If your purse or mobile phone has fallen on the railway track, then instead of chain pulling you have to do something else. All you have to do is note down the number written in yellow and black on the pole on the shore where your luggage has fallen.
After this, take this number and show it to TTE and he will tell you between which two stations your luggage has dropped.
Then you have to call Railway Police Force helpline number 182 or Railway Helpline number 139 and give them this information.
When you tell the helpline where your purse or mobile has fallen, then the police searches your belongings at that place.
In such a situation, the goods are given to you upon receipt.
