This plane fell on the hostel building of BJ Medical College and Civil Hospital, in which a total of 275 people died, including 241 people sitting in the plane. A young cricketer (Dirdh Patel Cricketer) also died in this, who was going to England.

Among those killed in the plane crash in Ahmedabad is 23-year-old Dirdh Patel, who played for Leeds Modernians Cricket Club in England. He studied at Huddersfield University. This Leeds club mourned the death of Dirdh Patel and paid tribute to him.

The club said that they are very saddened by the news of his death. "The condolences of everyone at the club are with Dirdh's family and everyone who knew him."

In its report, BBC quoted a spokesperson of the Airedale and Wharfedale Senior Cricket League as saying, "Dirdh wanted to continue playing cricket after settling in his new job."

Players observed a minute's silence before the match

He told that his brother Kritik used to play for Pool Cricket Club earlier. Both the clubs observed a minute's silence before their matches held over the weekend and paid tribute to Dirdh Patel.

Former Chief Minister also died

Many disturbing videos of the Ahmedabad plane crash went viral on social media. The video showed how the plane turned into a fireball as soon as it hit the building. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani was also aboard this plane, who was going to England to meet his family. He also died. His funeral was held on Monday 16 June.
