A chilling case from Amroha, Uttar Pradesh, has sent shockwaves through the community after a distressed man arrived at a police station in tears, claiming his life is in danger due to his wife's alleged affair. The man, Satpal Singh, alleges that his wife and her lover have threatened to kill him in a gruesome manner — even more brutally than the infamous Meerut murder, where the victim was chopped into 15 pieces.
“They Said They’ll Make It 16 Pieces This Time”
Satpal, a resident of Bartaura village in Rahra police station area, told police that his wife Mamta Saini has been in a relationship with Qasim, a man from another community in Moradabad, for the past six years. In a widely circulated viral video, Satpal claims that Qasim, along with a group of men, came to his house recently and threatened him:
“In Meerut, Saurabh was cut into 15 pieces. We will cut you into 16.”
Family in Crisis
Satpal and Mamta were married 18 years ago and have two children — a 13-year-old son and a 10-year-old daughter. According to Satpal, tensions escalated over the years due to Mamta's relationship with Qasim. He alleges that Mamta left him to live with Qasim in Delhi. However, she returned during Eid, and that’s when things took a dangerous turn.
Physical Assault, Public Drama
During the Eid visit, Satpal says both Mamta and Qasim physically assaulted him. He also claims Mamta threw his cot and medicines out onto the street and threatened to kill him.
Police Investigation Underway
Police have begun an inquiry based on Satpal’s complaint, though no arrests have been made yet. Authorities are now investigating the conflicting claims and the viral video. Rahra police officials say they are assessing whether this is a domestic dispute or something more sinister involving real threats to life.
Allegations and Fear
- Satpal says he is living in constant fear for his life.
- Claims wife Mamta has abandoned the family and is residing with Qasim in Delhi.
- No official complaint from Mamta’s side has been reported yet.
- Police say both parties may be summoned again for statements and evidence review.
The Bigger Picture
The incident echoes the 2023 Meerut case, where a man named Saurabh Singh was brutally murdered and chopped into pieces by his partner — a crime that shook the state. Satpal now fears a similar fate and is pleading for police protection.
