Police had been receiving information about slaughtering of animals and selling meat in Etmadpur town for a long time. A large quantity of animal meat, cutting equipment and scales etc. were recovered from the spot. After this, the team entered the house of Usman in the same area. Animal skins along with meat and fat in 82 ghee tins were recovered from the spot. ACP Etmadpur Piyush Kant Rai said that the accused are admitting to selling meat after slaughtering animals at home. Along with the local people, vendors from Tundla, Firozabad, Hathras and Agra city also take meat by placing orders. Most of the vendors take meat in their vehicles. Regarding the recovered fat, the accused told that they used to supply fat to small traders making soap and ghee by keeping it in ghee tins. A 15 kg Madhusudan ghee tin was sold for Rs 900 to 1000.
