So far, 16 people have died after drinking contaminated government water in Bhagirathpura, Indore. Nearly 200 people are hospitalized, with four in critical condition. Approximately 1,500 people are reported to have been affected by this crisis. Reactions to this issue have been strong in several states, including Madhya Pradesh. RJD leader Manoj Jha from Bihar, reacting to the Indore water pollution tragedy, said that for the government, these deaths are merely official statistics.

You know the art of winning elections – Manoj Jha.

Manoj Jha said, "Sometimes words are not enough; it is not reflected in your expressions, it is not reflected in your working style. Taking a dig at Kailash Vijayvargiya, he said, 'Leave aside other things... the way the minister (Kailash Vijayvargiya) responded to a journalist's question... There was not even an iota of sympathy in it.' There is a joke in it because you know that you know the art of winning elections."

You yourself will never drink that water – Manoj Jha.

He further said in a statement to PTI, "You yourself will never drink that water and will compensate those who die... Those who die are not just a statistic. Every death is a statistic in your government file. But that is not a statistic for the family. You give compensation, and then we wait for the next statistic."

Manoj Jha spoke on the statement of Rekha Arya's husband.

Regarding the statement made by Uttarakhand Minister Rekha Arya's husband, Manoj Jha said, "Look, this isn't the first time such a statement has been made. This mindset is inherently bad, and people with this mindset have reached, or rather, been elevated to, high positions. It's not a concern to me that such a thing was said about my state and that such an indecent comment was made, because a senior minister made an indecent comment about my state while talking to me inside the House."

He questioned, "Why is the Prime Minister silent on this issue? What kind of system is being created? And are the many ministers of our state in this double engine not hurt by such comments? If not, then hold up a mirror and declare that your empathy is dead."
