Sexual Assault Case in France: A cruel doctor has been sentenced in France, who sexually abused hundreds of children in about three decades. Most of them were hospitalized patients, whom he made victims of his lust instead of treating them.

If the protector becomes the predator, then only God is the master. This was seen in France, when the doctor who was considered God started making innocent children victims of his lust. He raped the children admitted in the hospital by giving them drugs or by making them sick. The lustful doctor raped 299 boys and girls. He even had sex with animals. When his house was searched, not thousands but lakhs of pornographic pictures and videos were found.

The French court has sentenced Doctor Joel Lee Skornek to 20 years in prison. During the trial, he confessed to sexually abusing 151 boys and 148 girls. Most of them were his patients. The court said that Skornek can be entitled to release only after serving at least two-thirds of the sentence.

This case against the 74-year-old doctor, which lasted for four months, remained in the headlines in France. In 2020 also, he was sentenced to 15 years in jail for raping four children.

However, the government side and human rights activists say that the sentence given to Skornek is less. According to French law, different sentences given to a convict are calculated together. In such a situation, as soon as the time of the first sentence is completed, he will be released as soon as he completes an additional sentence of 5 years.

The cruel doctor started this dirty work in 1989 and continued doing this work till 2017. He first raped his two nieces aged 5-6 years. Then he started looking for victims in the hospital itself. He exploited children who were unconscious or under the influence of drugs while admitted to the hospital due to illness. He raped children between the ages of 5 and 12. Many of these children and their families kept quiet due to the fear of disgrace.

Skornek was caught in 2005 on charges of possessing and selling sexual material related to children and was released after being given a four-month suspended sentence. But he was not stopped from working in the hospital or coming in contact with children. Nor was his medical license suspended.

The surgeon's dark deeds came to light in April 2017, when he touched a six-year-old girl in the neighborhood inappropriately. After this, the police searched his house. Nearly three lakh obscene pictures and videos of dirty acts with children and animals were found in it. He had duly written down all his deeds in a diary and used to pat himself on the back for every incident. If the security agencies had interrogated him thoroughly, the whole matter could have been revealed.

Later, when a written complaint was received from the parents of four children, the layers of truth started getting revealed. The police themselves contacted some of the victims of sexual abuse and included their stories in the trial while keeping their identity confidential. Two children who were victims of his lust died before the hearing.

The doctor used to visit the patients admitted in the hospital when they were alone. He used to touch their private parts in the name of treatment and then have sex with them. The children were either too scared to tell anything or the effect of the medicines on them was so much that they could not realize it at that time.
