Stress Management OPD: The Delhi government will start AYUSH Stress Management OPD. These patients will benefit

"Ayush Stress Management Out Patient Departments" (OPD) is going to start in Delhi. In this, mental health related problems of the patients will be cured. The Delhi government has started this initiative. Under this, people will get the benefit of specially designed Ayush medical methods.
In view of the problem of stress and mental health and its increasing adverse effects on the mental and physical health of the citizens of Delhi, the Delhi government is going to start "Ayush Stress Management Out Patient Departments" (OPDs) in the capital Delhi. Through these OPDs, the government will provide evidence-based AYUSH treatment services for early identification of mental stress related problems, timely treatment and stress management.
Delhi Health Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh said that such OPDs will be functional in major AYUSH medical colleges and hospitals in Delhi, including Ayurvedic and Unani Tibbia College and Hospital, Nehru Homeopathic Medical College and Hospital, Chaudhary Brahm Prakash Ayurveda Charak Sansthan, Dr B.R. Sur Medical College and Hospital as well as the existing AYUSH units established in IHBAS Hospital. OPD services will be available every Tuesday and Thursday of every week during regular OPD timings.

Under this important initiative of the Delhi government, citizens will get the benefit of specially designed AYUSH medical methods, which include herbal medicines, homeopathic medicines, panchkarma, yoga and meditation modules, lifestyle counseling along with pranayama. Through which special attention will be given to reducing anxiety, fatigue, insomnia and mental stress, other emotional problems i.e. psychosomatic diseases, as well as the overall health quality of life of the people will also increase.
Health Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh said that this program will be implemented in a phased manner across Delhi. First, services will be started in five OPDs as a pilot project and then later the scheme will be expanded to 11 units (one in each district). Collaboration will be taken from excellent institutions like National Research Council and ICMR to confirm the results of the scheme. Which will be evaluated on the basis of stress index, patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.

This initiative will not only reduce the increasing burden of patients on government hospitals, but will also enable individuals to live a more healthy, balanced and stress-free life.
The Health Minister said that this initiative of our Government directly supports the objectives of National Ayush Mission (NAM), National Mental Health Programme (NMHP), Fit India Movement and WHO Traditional Medicine Strategy, making the capital Delhi a model state of integrated healthcare and wellness and helping our Government to fulfil the vision of Healthy Delhi, Empowered Delhi.
