Shubman Gill Interview: The first ODI of the series was played between India and New Zealand. In which India registered a thrilling victory by 12 runs. India scored 349 runs while batting. The Kiwi team was able to score only 337 runs, due to which they had to face defeat.

For India, Shubman Gill top-scored with 208 runs. However, apart from him, no other Indian batsman could play a significant inning. The second-highest run scorer for the team was Rohit Sharma, who was dismissed for 34 runs.

Shubman Gill himself made the score of the Indian team above 300 runs. They started batting cautiously as wickets kept falling at one end. After this, he scored 57 runs in the next five overs, scoring quick runs in the last few overs. Gill was then dismissed for 208 in the last over of the game.

In a conversation, Gill revealed that Ishaan Kishan often uses his iPad to watch movies without headphones. Due to this, he is not able to sleep well at night. Gill tried to stop Kishan from watching the film, to which Kishan replied, "You are staying in my room."

Everything will be as I want. Regarding his double century, Gill also said that his primary thought was to avoid dominating the bowler as the wicket fell from one end. He looked extremely satisfied while batting throughout the innings. He was trying to hit a boundary in every over.
