Bollywood actor Sohail Khan, the younger brother of Salman Khan, has made a savvy business move that will earn him a steady income without lifting a finger. Sohail has rented out one of his commercial properties in the upscale Bandra area of Mumbai, securing a deal that will bring in lakhs of rupees every month.
The property, a shop in Gasper Enclave, has been leased to The Irish House Food and Beverages Pvt Ltd for a period of five years. The rent for the first three years is set at Rs 16.89 lakh per month, and for the remaining two years, it will rise to Rs 17.73 lakh per month.
Earning More Than 10 Crores in 5 Years
According to sources, the deal was finalized in March 2025, although details have only now surfaced. With the rent structure, Sohail will earn a total of Rs 10.34 crore over the five-year lease period, making this a lucrative business decision for him.
A Smart Investment
Sohail originally bought the property for Rs 3.11 crore in 2009. The shop, now 16 years old, covers 1,290.57 square feet and involved a stamp duty payment of Rs 2.67 lakh. Additionally, Sohail secured a security deposit of Rs 60 lakh as part of the deal.
From Acting to Production
Sohail Khan’s transition from acting to producing and directing has been marked by his focus on filmmaking. While he began his career in 1997 with Auzaar and later appeared in films like Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya and Hello Brother, he never quite achieved the same level of fame as his older brother Salman. Eventually, Sohail shifted his focus to production and directing, with his own production house, Sohail Khan Productions. His acting career took a backseat, with his last on-screen appearance being in Dabangg 3 after the underperformance of Tubelight.
