Rajasthan News:  In Bhinmal of Jalore district, self-proclaimed Panchas issued an order to impose a fine on those attending the wedding of a family. A fine of Rs 4 lakh has been imposed on his brother-in-law.

A case of illegal panchayat has come to light in Bhinmal, Jalore district, Rajasthan, where self-proclaimed Panchas issued a decree ostracizing a family from society and imposing fines on those who attended a wedding. A young man has been fined ₹3.1 million and his brother-in-law ₹4 million for the live-in dispute. The victim's family has filed a police report and demanded strict action.

Vardaram Mali fined for attending his wedding

Vardaram Mali, a resident of Bhadarda Road, filed a report with the Bhinmal police station, alleging that some self-proclaimed members of the community had issued a tyrannical decree against his family. According to the report, Vardaram Mali's son and two daughters were about to get married. Regarding this, some members of the community, including Samartha Ram, Deeparam, Babulal, Jagdish, Somtaram, Sardararam, and Mangilal, allegedly called an illegal panchayat and issued a decree that anyone attending the family's wedding would be expelled from the community and subject to a heavy fine.

31 lakh fine imposed for live-in relationship

It is being reported that the entire dispute began over the family's nephew, Vikram Kumar, in a live-in relationship. Based on this, the Panchayat imposed a fine of 3.1 million rupees on Vikram Kumar, while his brother-in-law was also fined 4 million rupees. Vikram Kumar and Pancharam have also been ostracized from society and their social relations have been cut off. The victim's family alleges that a case has already been filed in the Bhinmal police station, but these self-proclaimed Panchs, upset over their testimony, are now pressuring the entire family to withdraw the case and issuing threats.

People were afraid to attend the wedding after the panchayat's decision.

The situation became so serious that the bride and groom, along with several other family members, went to the police station at night and recounted their ordeal. The bride and groom stated that following the Panchayat's decree, members of the community are afraid to attend the wedding, causing the family mental distress. The victim, Vardaram Mali, has demanded strict action against the accused. The police have registered a case and begun an investigation, promising to take further action after the entire incident is fully investigated.
