Silver Price Today: Silver prices are seeing a significant drop once again today. Prices have dropped by ₹10,000 in one fell swoop. Gold and silver prices have also fallen on the MCX.

Silver Price Today: Gold and silver prices fell again on Tuesday, the second trading day of the week. Gold and silver futures contracts on MCX declined during this period. Investors are cautious as a labor market report will be released on Wednesday regarding the US job situation in January. Furthermore, inflation data will be released on Friday, which could impact Federal Reserve policy in the future.

How much did the price of silver fall? 

In today's trading session, MCX silver futures with March 5, 2026 expiry fell 2%, or ₹4,905, to ₹2,57,715 per kg. Similarly, gold futures for April 2 delivery fell ₹2,005, or 2%, to ₹1,56,001 per 10 grams. 

Gold and silver prices also declined slightly in the international commodity market. Spot gold fell 0.36% to $5066.56 per ounce today after rising 2% in the previous session amid a weak dollar. Earlier, on January 29, gold had reached a record high of $5594.82 per ounce. Spot silver slipped 0.44% to $81.20 per ounce today after rising nearly 7% in the previous session. Silver had reached an all-time high of $121.64 per ounce on January 29.

  1. In many cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Pune, Vadodara, silver is being sold today at a price of Rs 2,90,000 per kilogram. However, in Chennai, Hyderabad, Madurai, Vijayawada, and Bhubaneswar, the price of silver is Rs 3,00,000 per kilogram today. After yesterday's rise of Rs 15,000, today's fall of Rs 10,000 is a relief for buyers. Earlier, after the budget , on February 2, the price of silver had fallen by Rs 50,000. Then on February 5 and 6, there were further declines of Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000 respectively.
