'Retired players play PSL...' Pakistani player insults Pakistan after comparing it to IPL; video goes viral

IPL vs PSL: A few days ago, Riley Russo described the IPL as a movie and the PSL as more competitive. Angered by this, a former Pakistani cricketer exposed his league.

Ahmed Shehzad on IPL vs PSL

A few days ago, Riley Russo compared the IPL to a movie and the PSL to a more competitive one. He currently plays for the Quetta Gladiators. Everyone knows how much bigger the Indian Premier League is than the Pakistan Super League, and such statements are often made by players who don't get a spot in the IPL. Former Pakistani cricketer Ahmed Shehzad also held the PCB accountable. He clearly stated that only those who don't get the opportunity to play in Indian leagues come to Pakistan to play, otherwise, anyone given the opportunity would choose the IPL first.

Shahzad also exposed players like Riley Russo, who argue that the PSL is better with absurd arguments. He said that such players praise Pakistan only because they receive money there. If anyone gets the opportunity to play in both leagues (IPL vs PSL), they will choose India.

Retired players play in PSL

Shahzad said, "Most of the players you have are those who played in the IPL, retired from the IPL, and didn't have a future." He also named several players, including David Warner. He added, "Because they're not even in commentary there. Like Kevin Pietersen is here, Chris Gayle is involved. Those same players will come to you and say the Pakistan Super League is better than the IPL. Otherwise, if someone has the opportunity, they'll choose the IPL."

📢 Ahmed Shehzad brutally owned PSL:

You only have players left in the PSL who have either retired from the IPL, gone unsold in the IPL, or have no future in the IPL, like David Warner and Steve Smith. If any current player has a chance to play, they will choose the IPL. So how… pic.twitter.com/2GTSopxZPA

Shahzad also said that while the PCB has tried to expand the Pakistan Super League by adding eight teams, the league's quality has only declined. He justified Blessing Muzarabani's decision to join the IPL, saying it was a professional player's choice.
