turning point of the match

Sri Lanka A now needed just 9 runs from the last two overs to win. Tilak Varma, under pressure from captain Ruturaj Gaikwad, handed the crucial responsibility of bowling the 49th over to left-arm fast bowler Arshad Khan. What followed stunned the Sri Lanka A camp.

The batsmen ran for a single off Arshad Khan's first ball. Sri Lanka A needed eight runs from 11 balls. Arshad Khan deceived Vijayakanth Viyaskanth with his pace on the second ball, hitting Vijayakanth Viyaskanth's pads.

The umpire immediately declared Viaskanth out LBW. On the third ball, everyone on the field witnessed a dramatic moment. Vanuja Sahan was on strike. Vanuja Sahan tried to steal a run by playing the ball, but Ruturaj Gaikwad, standing at short control, showed cheetah-like agility. Gaikwad picked up the ball and slammed it straight into the wickets.

Vanuja Sahan had made 23 runs off 16 balls, but Vanuja was too far out of the crease and was run out.

Anshul Kamboj also made a big contribution.

Captain Tilak Verma assigned Anshul Kamboj to bowl the 48th over. On the second ball of the 48th over, Anshul Kamboj clean bowled Sri Lanka A captain Sahan Arachige.

Anshul sent Sahan Arachige, who was well-established at the crease, back to the pavilion. After Arachige's dismissal, Sri Lanka A's score dropped to 262 for 7. However, Sri Lanka A still had wickets in hand. The match was tilted in their favor. However, in the next over, Arshad Khan's dangerous bowling secured the win for India A.
