Ravi worked as a junior mechanical engineer in the naval dock. It is alleged that he gave information about 14 submarines and warships to the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI.

Maharashtra ATS said that the name of the accused is Ravi Kumar Verma. Ravi is a resident of Kalwa, Thane. He worked as a junior mechanical engineer in the naval dock. Ravi is accused of giving information about 14 Indian submarines and warships to Pakistan. Now Ravi will be questioned as to how he provided this information to Pakistan?

According to the information received from Maharashtra ATS, Ravi Kumar Verma was in contact with two Facebook accounts of Pakistan's intelligence agency ISI. Both these Facebook pages are made in the name of Payal Sharma and Ispreet. On these two Facebook pages, Ravi Verma had shared information about 14 submarines and warships. Ravi had also sent important information and pictures of warships and other ships.

Since mobile phones are prohibited in the naval dock area, Ravi Verma used to memorize the design and other details of the warships there. He then used to share all the information on Facebook pages created in the name of Payal Sharma and Ispreet. The investigation also revealed that Ravi used to send this information in audio and text format.

In contact with Pakistan from 2024

Ravi Verma was in contact with Pakistani Facebook accounts since November 2024. Maharashtra ATS said that Facebook accounts of Pakistani intelligence agents were created in the name of Payal Sharma and Ispreet. Information about warships was being sought from Ravi Verma for a project from both the pages. Ravi Verma, trapped in a honeytrap, was repeatedly sending this information to Payal Sharma and Ispreet.

Ravi Varma's broken marriage

Meanwhile, another important update came about Ravi Verma. Ravi was going to get married soon, but his marriage got cancelled after his arrest by ATS. His mother had finalised the marriage a few days ago. The girl's family said that they will not give their daughter's hand to someone who has betrayed the country. It was good that only the engagement had taken place and Ravi's secret was revealed. If the marriage had taken place, their daughter's life would have been ruined.
