PM Modi pays tribute to Bapu at Rajghat, also remembers Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Tribute programmes were organised across the country on the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the 122nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri.

Tribute ceremonies were held across the country on Friday to mark the 157th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi and the 122nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri. In Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Raj Ghat. He then participated in an interfaith prayer at the Gandhi Samadhi. He also paid homage to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri at Vijay Ghat.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary by visiting the Gandhi Samadhi at Rajghat. He then participated in an interfaith prayer held there, recalling Gandhi's thoughts and contributions.

Prime Minister Modi paid tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri at Vijay Ghat on his 122nd birth anniversary. Shastri Jayanti is celebrated alongside Gandhi Jayanti every year on October 2nd. On this day, the nation remembers the contributions of both leaders.

Lieutenant Governor Sandhu also paid tribute at Raj Ghat.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu also visited Raj Ghat. He paid tribute at the Gandhi Samadhi on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's 157th birth anniversary and participated in the Sarva-Dharma prayer. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also visited Rajghat and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. He participated in the Sarva-Dharma prayer held at the Gandhi Samadhi and remembered Bapu. Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar also visited Rajghat and paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary. He also participated in the Sarva-Dharma prayer held at the Gandhi Samadhi.

Bhajanlal Sharma paid homage at the Rajasthan Secretariat.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri at the Rajasthan Secretariat in Jaipur on their birth anniversaries. He remembered both leaders and paid tribute to their contributions. Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta paid tribute to former Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri at Vijay Ghat on his 122nd birth anniversary. She also remembered Shastri's contributions to the nation.
