Millions of farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the 22nd installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme. The government is currently completing the final phase of beneficiary verification and database updates. - Have not completed mandatory verification processes

Farmers who want to receive the ₹2,000 installment without interruption must ensure that certain requirements are completed. Failure to do so may result in the installment being withheld.
1. Complete e-KYC
The e-KYC process is now mandatory for all PM-Kisan beneficiaries. Farmers can complete it through several methods:
- OTP-based verification on the PM-Kisan portal
- Face authentication via the mobile app
- Biometric verification at the nearest Common Service Centre (CSC)
Without e-KYC, the installment will not be processed.
2. Ensure Land Seeding is Updated
The government requires farmers to link their land ownership records with the PM-Kisan database.
Farmers should check that the “Land Seeding” status shows “Yes” on the portal. If it shows “No”, they must contact their local revenue office, tehsil office, or patwari to update their land records.
3. Link Aadhaar With Bank Account
Another critical requirement is Aadhaar-bank linking. The bank account registered under the scheme must be linked with the farmer’s Aadhaar number and enabled for DBT payments.
Even small errors in the name, account details, or Aadhaar linking can prevent the installment from being credited.
How to Check PM Kisan Installment Status Online
Farmers can easily check whether they will receive the upcoming installment by visiting the official PM-Kisan portal.
Follow these simple steps:
- Visit the official website: pmkisan.gov.in
- Click on the “Know Your Status” option on the homepage
- Enter your registration number and captcha code
- Submit the details to view your payment status
If the portal shows “Yes” for the following three fields, the farmer is likely to receive the installment:
- e-KYC status
- Land seeding verification
- Aadhaar bank seeding
When all these requirements are successfully verified, the payment will be transferred to the farmer’s bank account through DBT.
