Wang further said, China advocates an immediate and impartial investigation and believes that this conflict does not serve the fundamental interests of either India or Pakistan, nor is it beneficial to regional peace and stability.' This support to Pakistan from China has come after Shahbaz Sharif's statement, in which he has demanded an 'independent investigation' of the Pahalgam terror attack. Earlier, US President Donald Trump indicated that he does not intend to interfere in this matter.

Help was also sought from Russia

In a recent interview given to the Russian government-run news agency RIA Novosti, Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif said, 'I think Russia or China or even Western countries can play a very positive role in this crisis and they can also form an investigation team.'
