Migration of youth to big cities in search of better salary is not a new thing in the country. After completing studies, most of the youth move to metro cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore or Pune in search of job. But now a big change is being seen in this game of salary.

Recently, a new survey by Indeed has revealed that other cities are emerging as popular cities for high salaries. Cities like Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad are witnessing a much higher rate of salary increase than Delhi and Mumbai.

In this survey, opinions of more than 1300 employers and more than 2500 employees across the country were taken. In this, research was done on all things like salary, expenses, standard of living of the city and workload of freshers to experienced professionals.

Chennai is giving the highest salary to freshers

According to the survey, Chennai has emerged as the best city for those youth who are starting their career. Here freshers are being paid an average salary of 30,100 per month. Whereas, Hyderabad is the most profitable city for professionals with 5 to 8 years of experience where the average salary has reached 69,700 per month.

Salaries are also low in expensive cities

Even though there are job opportunities in big cities like Delhi and Mumbai, the inflation here has loosened the pockets of the people. The report states that about 69% of the people say that their salary is not sufficient according to the cost of their city.

In Delhi, this number has reached 96%, while in Mumbai 95%, in Pune 94% and in Bengaluru 93% people said the same thing. The direct reason for this is expensive rent, traveling expenses, prices of food and other necessities, which are increasing day by day.

Now small cities are becoming the choice of youth

Due to this rapidly changing trend, now the youth want to work in those cities where the cost of living is low and the salary is better. Hyderabad, Chennai and Ahmedabad are now becoming such cities which are giving good salaries to professionals.
