Following the success of Operation Sindoor, which saw over 100 terrorists eliminated in retaliation for the April 22 attack in Jammu and Kashmir, top Indian leaders have come out in strong support of the armed forces and Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s decisive stance on national security.
Amit Shah: Enemies Will Not Be Spared
Union Home Minister Amit Shah hailed the Indian armed forces for their "unparalleled valour" and praised PM Modi's leadership. In a powerful message on social media, Shah wrote:
“The nation salutes the unmatched valor of our Armed Forces — the destroyers of our enemies and the shield of Bharat. We also salute the courageous personnel of the BSF, our first line of defense. The bravery of our forces will forever be etched in our glorious history.”
Shah added that PM Modi’s leadership has repeatedly shown that “no enemy of India can be spared.”
Yogi Adityanath: Operation Sindoor A Pledge to Protect Our Women
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath echoed Shah’s sentiments and framed Operation Sindoor as more than just a military retaliation. Calling it a “pledge to protect the honor of our sisters and daughters,” Yogi stated:
“Today's address by PM Modi is a clear declaration of New India's policy against terrorism. Whoever dares to wipe the vermilion from the forehead of our mothers and sisters will be reduced to dust. India will no longer stay silent — every attack will be answered on our terms.”
PM Modi’s Address: Strength With Restraint
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Modi addressed the nation, declaring the success of Operation Sindoor and dedicating it to the women of India. He praised the valor and discipline of the armed forces, intelligence agencies, and security personnel, saying:
“The world has seen India’s strength and restraint. I salute the courage and sacrifice of our soldiers. This operation is dedicated to every mother, sister, and daughter of India.”
Operation Sindoor was launched in response to the brutal killing of 26 civilians in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. It targeted terror camps and military sites deep inside Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The strategic precision of the strikes has been hailed as a turning point in India's counter-terrorism doctrine.
