Nidhi Tiwari, a 2014 batch officer of the Indian Foreign Service (IFS), has been appointed as the Personal Secretary (PS) of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Nidhi Tiwari joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2014 and has worked on many important posts.

According to the order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Nidhi Tiwari was currently working as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office (PMO). Now, in view of her previous work, she has been given the important responsibility of being the PM's Personal Secretary.

Will play an important role in the PMO

Nidhi Tiwari joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2014 and has worked on many important posts. Her services as Deputy Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office were appreciated, after which she has now been given this responsibility. In this new role, her job will be to coordinate the daily work of the Prime Minister, organize important meetings and coordinate with various government departments.

How much will be the salary

According to reports, the salary of the officers appointed to the post of Private Secretary in the Prime Minister's Office is determined under Pay Matrix Level-14. The salary at this level is Rs 1,44,200 per month, which also includes Dearness Allowance (DA), House Allowance (HRA), Travel Allowance (TA) and other allowances.

Took up the responsibility of the Ministry of External Affairs

Nidhi Tiwari was appointed as Deputy Secretary in the PMO in November 2022. Earlier, she was working as Under Secretary in the Disarmament and International Security Affairs Division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Given her administrative efficiency and experience, she has now been given the important responsibility of the Private Secretary to the Prime Minister.
