Mud Pot Tips- Is there a bad smell coming from your pot, know about the ways to clean it

By Jitendra Jangid- Friends, it is very important to stay hydrated in the summer season and the way the heat has shown its attitude in North India, according to that we should stay at home, in today's modern era people use the fridge for cold water, but if we talk about the earthen pot, then the water in it remains naturally cool and fresh. But over time, a strange, muddy or foul smell starts coming from these utensils, which makes the water unpleasant to drink, let's know about the tricks to remove it-

1. Use salt to remove the smell

Add sufficient amount of salt to the pot and leave it overnight. Salt helps to neutralize any odor and cleans the inside of the pot.

2. Dry the pot in the sun

After washing the pot, keep it in direct sunlight. Sun drying kills bacteria and removes any odour naturally.

3. Change water regularly

Do not let water remain in the pot for too long. Change the water frequently to avoid build-up of bacteria and odour.

4. Clean the pot thoroughly

Make it a habit to clean your clay pot once a week with warm water and salt or baking soda.
