A tragic accident in Senapati district, Manipur, resulted in the deaths of three Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, while 13 others sustained injuries when a BSF truck fell into a gorge near Changoubung village, officials confirmed.

Casualties and Injuries

Three BSF jawans lost their lives, with two dying on the spot and one succumbing to injuries while being taken to the hospital. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to Senapati district hospital for further formalities.

The 13 injured personnel are receiving medical treatment, with several reported to be in critical condition.

Governor Expresses Condolences

Manipur Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla expressed deep sorrow over the incident. In a statement, Raj Bhavan extended condolences to the bereaved families and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured personnel.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident while ensuring proper medical care for the wounded.
