The PAN (Permanent Account Number) card is an important document used for banking, filing income tax returns (ITR), investments, and a variety of financial transactions. Will I get a new PAN number?

No. If you lose your PAN card, you will not be issued a new PAN number. You will be issued a new physical card with the same PAN number.

How to Reissue a Lost PAN Card?
1. Apply for a PAN Card Reprint

If your PAN details are already available, you can apply for PAN Reprint online.

2. Enter your information

You will generally need to provide the following information during the online application:

PAN Number
Aadhaar Number (if required)
Date of Birth
Mobile Number or Email ID (for OTP verification)

3. Complete OTP Verification

Verify your identity by entering the OTP received on your registered mobile number or email.

4. Pay the fee

If you want to order a physical PAN card, pay the prescribed fee. Your application will then be processed.

5. Get a new PAN card

After verification is complete, a new physical PAN card will be sent to your registered address. In many cases, an e-PAN can also be downloaded, if available.

If you don't remember your PAN number, first find it out. To do this, you can:
