Incorrectly entered Aadhaar number, VID or Enrolment ID

The most common reason for Aadhaar card not being downloaded online is incorrect information. Often, in a hurry, the 12-digit number, 16-digit Virtual ID, and 28-digit Enrollment ID are mistyped. Even one incorrect digit can cause the UIDAI system to be unable to verify the information and halt the download process. Therefore, when entering information, make sure it is correct.

OTP not received on registered mobile number

UIDAI sends a one-time password (OTP) to your registered mobile number to download e-Aadhaar. If your mobile number isn't linked to your Aadhaar card, or if the network is weak or your phone doesn't have a signal, receiving the OTP on your mobile phone can be difficult. Often, due to a busy network, it can take a few minutes for the OTP to arrive. Don't panic; wait a moment and then click the option to send the OTP again. If your mobile number has changed, it's crucial to update it on your Aadhaar card.

UIDAI servers are overloaded

Sometimes, the problem isn't yours, but rather the UIDAI server. When too many people try to download their Aadhaar card on a website at the same time, the server becomes overloaded. This causes the website to slow down, leading to problems downloading the Aadhaar card. If the problem persists even after repeated attempts, take a break and try again. Traffic tends to be lower early in the morning or late at night.
