Meta-owned WhatsApp is working on a new feature. After the introduction of this feature of WhatsApp, business account channels will also get a green tick. At present, the channels of WhatsApp accounts of celebrities and others have got a green tick.
This feature of WhatsApp is currently being tested on the beta version. According to the report of WABetaInfo, the new feature has been named "verified channel" and it is being tested on beta version 2.24.1.18 of Android.
A screenshot of this new feature of WhatsApp Business has also been revealed. Last year, WhatsApp said that businesses would be able to subscribe to their meta (Facebook and Instagram) verification on WhatsApp as well.
For verification on business channels, users will have to subscribe to Meta Verified, that is, it will not be free.
