If you use WhatsApp then there is good news for you. WhatsApp is bringing a new update for its users. Now WhatsApp users will be able to link email addresses to their accounts.
With the help of the new feature, you will be able to easily log in to your WhatsApp account with the help of your email address. Currently, these features are being made available only for iOS users. Let us know what the new feature is and how it works.
WhatsApp email address verification feature becomes available
As spotted by WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is rolling out update 23.24.70 for iOS on the App Store, which brings additional verification processes. We hope that this feature will be available for Android users very soon. As of writing this, we haven't found the email verification feature on both iOS and Android.
However, WABetaInfo claims that this feature is gradually being made available to the users. WhatsApp claims that the new feature helps the user to access their account and is not visible to others.
How to use the email address verification feature
WhatsApp has said in one of its reports that the primary login method will be only the mobile number. Email address verification is a great option for users who live in low cellular network areas. To use the new feature, you can go to Settings > Account > Email Address.
After setting up the new feature, users will be able to receive a 6-digit code through email instead of SMS. If you don't have this feature yet, it will be coming to your account in the coming weeks.
