Participate in online auction
BSNL issues VIP numbers for customers in all its circles and the auctions are different for each circle. To participate in the auction, you will have to visit the BSNL website and see the schedule of the auction to be held in your circle.
First of all, you have to go to BSNL's e-auction (https://eauction.bsnl.co.in/auction1/eauction.aspx) site and select your circle.
Now you have to log in/register.
You can provide your existing mobile number and e-mail for login.
After this, log in details will come along with a link to your e-mail.
Click on the login tab given in the link and log in by entering the password along with the mobile number.
After login, you will see a list of VIP numbers in which you can choose the number of your choice.
After selecting the number, add it to the cart.
After this, you will have to pay the registration amount which will be refundable.
You will get to see the information regarding the registration amount along with the number.
After registration, you have to place a minimum bid for the chosen number.
After this BSNL will select three people for each VIP number.
After this final list, there will be another auction, after that, you will get a VIP number.
If your name does not appear in the final list, you will get the registration money back within 10 days.
You may have to pay up to Rs 25,000 for a VIP number.
