lWhat items can and cannot be taken in the metro?
Luggage weight rule
If you are traveling in the Delhi Metro, then you need to know how much weight of luggage you can take with you. According to Delhi Metro, a passenger can carry weight up to 25 kg. Keep in mind that only one bag should be of this weight.

What are the rules regarding animals and birds?
If you have any animal like a cat, dog, rabbit, etc. which is your pet or not? So you cannot take any such animal or bird with you in the metro.

Can I take alcohol?
If you are traveling in the Delhi Metro, then according to the new rule of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation, a passenger can take 2 sealed bottles with him. However, drinking is not allowed inside the metro or on the premises. Also, traveling after drinking alcohol is prohibited.

Bicycle
If you have a bicycle, you cannot take it on the metro either. Carrying it is strictly prohibited under the rules. However, small children's bicycles that weigh less can be allowed to be taken away by security personnel.

These things also cannot be taken:-
Spirits and flammable liquids
Banned and Dangerous Chemical Acids
explosives, petroleum products
Sharp objects like a knife, dagger, sword, cleaver, cutlery, etc.
Carrying any items like screwdriver, wrench, pliers, or any other tool which is more than 7 inches or 17.5 cm in length is strictly prohibited in the metro.

If you are a fan of reels, keep in mind that you cannot do so inside the metro. Under the rules, photography and videography are banned in the metro. Even though you may have seen many people doing this, you may be fined if caught.

What if the rules are broken?
If you are caught carrying any banned item in the metro against the rules of the metro, then such a person can be fined up to Rs 5,000 and can be imprisoned for up to four years.
