Whether you live in urban areas or rural areas, if you are eligible then you get the benefits of beneficial and welfare schemes run by the government. Many types of schemes are being run by the government including housing, employment, education, pension, and insurance. Both the state and central governments are running various schemes at their respective levels. For example, take only 'Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana-Chief Minister Scheme'. Under this scheme, Ayushman cards of eligible people are made, after which the cardholder can get free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh in the listed hospitals. These people are eligible for Ayushman Yojana:-
If your house is raw
If you are a daily wage laborer
A person who belongs to a scheduled caste or tribe
People who live in rural areas

Who is destitute or tribal
If you are a landless person
If there is any disabled member in your family etc..

Those who are eligible can apply in this manner:-
Step 1

If you are eligible for Ayushman Yojana, then you have to first go to your nearest public service center to apply.
By going here you have to meet the concerned officer at the center, who looks after the process of application for the card.

Step 2
After this, some documents are asked from you at the center, which apart from your residence certificate, Aadhar card, and ration card, you also have to provide a mobile number.
Then the documents you have given are checked by the officer.

Step 3
After this, your eligibility is checked by the officer present at the center
Then when everything is found correct, an Ayushman card is issued in your name, after which you can avail of the treatment for free.
