Every month a certain amount is deducted from the employee's salary and deposited in this PF account and the company also deposits the same amount in this account. In such a situation, you can get this money in the middle of the job (within the fixed limit), after leaving the job, and in the form of a pension. You can get your date of birth corrected like this:-
Step 1
If for some reason your date of birth is wrongly recorded in your PF account, you can correct it yourself.
For this, you have to go to the official portal of EPFO unified portal-mem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface.
Step 2
After visiting the portal you have to enter your UAN number.
Also, fill in your password and the captcha code given on the screen and then log in.
After this, you will have many options
Step 3
You have to click on 'Manage Tab' from these options visible.
Then you have to click on the option 'Modify Basic Details
Here you will get some options, one of which will be your date of birth.
Step 4
Then you have to enter your name and correct date of birth and tick on some of the columns given below
Now click on the update button below, after which it will go to your company's HR for approval.
As soon as they approve it, your correct date of birth will be updated in your PF records.
