Most people use the UPI service these days. UPI has given people so much convenience that now they do not need to carry a lot of cash with them. All work is done from the mobile itself. Apart from this, mobile also contains a lot of important information. In such a situation, if your mobile is stolen and falls into the wrong hands, then you can suffer a huge loss. The person who steals your mobile can also empty your account by accessing your UPI apps. If ever such a situation comes in front of you, then do 3 things immediately. Here is how you can secure your bank account by deactivating UPI.

First of all, get the SIM blocked
First of all, you should get your SIM blocked. For this, call your customer service executive from any other phone and ask to block your SIM. In such a situation, the customer service executive will ask you the reason for blocking the SIM. Tell him the reason and give the required details like full name, billing address, details of last recharge, email ID, etc. If your SIM gets blocked in time, a UPI PIN will not be generated on your mobile number.

This is how to stop UPI services.
To stop UPI services, call the helpline number of the bank whose account is linked to your UPI ID. Call and ask to block the bank account and stop UPI services. Apart from this, you can also block UPI apps by calling the helpline number 01204456456 for Paytm, 02268727374 for PhonePe, and 18004190157 for Google Pay.

Make sure to file an FIR.
The third important thing is FIR. The person who stole your mobile can also misuse your phone, so you must register an FIR of phone theft with the police. Only through this FIR, you can get your SIM and bank account reactivated later.
