Chaitra Navratri is starting from 9th April. In this nine-day festival, new forms of Goddess Durga are worshipped. Devotees fast on this occasion and live a virtuous life. Every day of Navratri, nine forms of Mother, Mother Shailputri, Mother Brahmacharini, Chandraghanta, Mother Kushmanda, Mother Skandamata, Katyayani, Kalratri, Mahagauri, Mother Siddhidatri are worshipped. The method of worshiping different forms of Goddess Durga and the offerings are also different.

During Navratri puja, different offerings should be offered to all the forms of Mother Goddess every day. In this, offering coconut, cow ghee, jaggery, malpua, kheer, halwa, gram and puri is considered auspicious, and it should be distributed to everyone in the form of prasad. In this article, know which offering to offer on which day during Navratri and which form of Mother Goddess likes what offering.

Navratri first day

On this day, Ghatasthapana takes place and the Shailputri form of Maa Durga is worshipped. Mother Shailputri is the daughter of Himalaya, hence she likes white colour. Also, it is considered auspicious to offer them bhog prepared with cow's ghee. On the first day of Navratri, after worshiping Goddess Shailputri, one can offer halwa made of cow ghee, rabri or mawa laddus.

Navratri second day
Mother Brahmacharini is worshiped on the second day of Chaitra Navratri. On this day, sugar and Panchamrit can be offered to the Mother Goddess. This is considered to be his favorite indulgence.

Navratri third day
Chandraghanta form of Maa Durga is worshiped on the third day of Navratri. Offering sweets made from milk, kheer etc. to Mata Chandraghanta is considered auspicious. It is believed that Mother Chandraghanta is more pleased with this Prasad.

Navratri fourth day
Mother Kushmanda is worshiped on the fourth day of Navratri. Malpua can be offered to Mata Kushmanda. Mother will like the offering of Malpua and distribute it among everyone as Prasad.

Fifth day in navratri
On the fifth day, Mother Skandamata, the fifth form of Goddess Durga, is worshipped. Banana is offered to Mother Skandamata. It is believed that offering banana to the Mother Goddess provides relief from all physical diseases.

Sixth day in navratri
Mother Katyayani is worshiped on the sixth day of Navratri. Bottle gourd, sweet betel leaves or honey can be offered to Goddess Katyayani.

Seventh day of navratri
Mata Kalratri is worshiped on the seventh day of Navratri. Mother Kaalratri is the destroyer of enemies. An offering made from jaggery should be offered to Maa Kalratri.

Eighth day of navratri
Mahagauri form of Goddess Durga is worshiped on the eighth day of Navratri. Offer coconut as Prasad to Mata Mahagauri. Offer a coconut ball to the mother or offer sweets and laddus made from coconut.

Ninth day of navratri
Mother Siddhidatri is worshiped on the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri. Kanya puja is done on Navami. On this day, Kanya Puja is performed by offering Halwa Puri, Kheer or Chana Masala to Mother Siddhidatri.
