The name of this temple is 'Jai Kutiya Maharani Maa'. Our astrology expert DrRadhakant Vats told us some interesting things related to this temple. He also told us the reason behind the worship of female dogs in this temple, which we are going to share with you today.

  • Mauranipur tehsil of Jhansi district has a temple named 'Jai Kutiya Maharani Maa'. The statue of a female dog is installed in this temple and all the people of the village also come here to worship. This temple is very small and is situated on the roadside.
  • This temple is not big or grand. This temple is built on a white platform and the idol of a black female dog sits in it. The special thing is that people have a lot of faith in this temple and people also come here to bow their heads.

  • Like this temple, its story is also very strange. According to this story, this temple is on the border of these two villages named Revan and Kakwara. It is said that whenever there was any program of eating at anyone's house in these two villages.
  • Then suddenly a female dog (bitch) used to reach there. It is believed that if that female dog could not eat the food of that house than the happiness and prosperity of that house were always maintained. But once the food was organized in both the villages but that female dog could not eat it.

  • By the time she reached both villages one by one to eat the female dog, the food was over. So she did not get food that day and she died due to hunger. Since people were not only saddened to see the condition of that female dog but also had faith in her.
  • So the people of both the villages built his temple on the border of both the villages and started worshipping him. Even today, this custom is followed that whenever there is any program of eating at someone's house, food is first offered to the female dog by going to the temple.
