Was. The Union Minister said that under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY), the Central Government gives a subsidy of Rs 300 on LPG to poor families.

The beneficiary of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana will get a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder for Rs 603 in Delhi. If you also get the benefit of this government scheme, then you will have to buy LPG in Delhi for Rs 903. After this, a subsidy of Rs 300 will be sent directly to your account. Union Minister Hardeep Singh Puri said that in the year 2014, there were 14 crore LPG consumers in the country, which has now increased to 33 crore. He informed that there are about 10 crore consumers under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana.

Government gives extension to PMUY
Recently, the Union Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved the extension of the scheme to release 75 lakh LPG connections in three years from the financial year 2023-24 to 2025-26. With this decision of the government, 75 lakh new connections will be given. With this, the total number of beneficiaries under PM Ujjwala Yojana will reach 10.35 crore.
